DRUG UTILIZATION REVIEW AND CONSULTATION
With each new prescription, we review your medication history, checking to make sure your new medication does not interact with other medications you may be taking.
Our HEALTHGUARD COMPUTER SYSTEM maintains unique, confidential customer profiles, and keeps track of your prescriptions, allergies, and special needs. Drug interactions are recognized and flagged, alerting the pharmacist to any potential problems.
We personally counsel you to ensure that you know what your medication is for, how it is to be taken and what side effects to expect and how it is to be stored.
Our pharmacists are always available for consultation regarding your medication or the state of your disease; ready to advise you about lifestyle choices, diet, and to recommend what you can do to help yourself to live a long and healthy life. We also have a Smoking Cessation specialist on staff available for consultation.
MEDSCHECKS - ASK OUR PHARMACIST!
Because we care about your health, your Lovell Pharmacists are always ready to answer your questions, provide special services for your family and ensure that you understand your medications.
Our pharmacists can conduct free, one-on-one MedsCheck counselling sessions with you to provide an annual review of your medications, an up-to-date list of medications before a hospital visit, as well as any time your medications have changed or you have specific questions about your medications or disease state. We can now provide instant Hemoglobin A1C (HbA1C) testing during a Diabetes MedsCheck, so that you and your doctor can have immediate access to the result.

In addition to ensuring your prescriptions are filled in an accurate, timely manner, we also supply and teach you how to use related items such as Aerochambers, Peak-Flow Meters, Blood Pressure Meters, Blood Glucose Meters, and a complete range of Diabetes supplies, including Insulin Pens and Insulin Pump supplies. Having your prescriptions supplied in Dispill Blister Packaging can also be arranged.

DRUG PLAN ADMINISTRATION
Lovell Drugs honours all major drug plans. If your plan requires personal payment up front, we can set up a charge account in your name, so you need not wait until you can afford to pay for your medication. With your signed approval, we fill out the forms and submit them for you, and you can bring us your cheque to pay off your account when it comes in. Accounts can be paid using telephone banking, on-line computer payment or in person at your bank or local Lovell Drugs store.
MEDICATION INFORMATION SHEETS
Along with your prescription, we provide you with an information sheet that has been specially prepared to give you specific information regarding the drug you are required to take.
