Changes to Clinic during COVID-19
To protect the health of our patients, our staff, our physicians and our community from COVID-19 Glazier Medical Centre is making changes in the way in which we meet your medical needs. All appointments will initially be telephone consultations. Pleases call your physician's office or central booking to make an appointment.
VIRTUAL URGENT CARE/WALK-IN CLINIC
Our Urgent Care Department will remain open, however your initial appointment will also be a telephone consultation.
Please call 905-579-1212 x 532 and we will make arrangements for you to speak to one of our physicians. In-person appointments are only available after initial phone consultation, if medically necessary.
1. FACE COVERINGS: If the physician or nurse needs to see you, please be advised that you will be required to wear a face covering to enter our building. This can be a non-medical mask, as long as it is covering your nose and mouth. Due to limited supplies, the Clinic is unable to provide you with masks.
2. SCREENING: All patients entering the builidng are required to go through a screening process. Please be mindful of your appointment times.
3. ONLY ONE PERSON: Please limit the number of people coming to our clinic. Unless a minor or you need personal support, only the patient will be allowed to the appointment.
4. PHYSICAL DISTANCING: Please maintain physical distancing when in the building. This includes lines up outside and in the lobby area.
5. ZERO TOLERANCE STATEMENT: We operate a ZERO TOLERANCE policy towards abuse of Glazier Medical staff and physicians. Our staff and physicians come to work to care for others, not to become victims of violence, threatening behaviour, physical or verbal abuse or discrimination. Anyone attending the Clinic who is abusive, will be banned from the premises.
What to do if you feel you have been exposed to COVID-19?
If you are having difficulty breathing – please call 911 and inform the dispatcher of your travel history and concern of the coronavirus and they will assist.
If you feel you need medical assistance, but don’t feel you need to go to the Emergency department, you may contact Telehealth Ontario 1-866-797-0000 or our office and we will assist you.
DO NOT COME TO THE CLINIC Glazier Medical Centre is not equipped to see you safely and we do not have the appropriate kit to do the required testing. We will however ensure you get the proper care.
